- I would like to use many still images of what the Miss America pageant used to be.
- My repetend will be a crown.
- I chose to start with this picture because in order to really understand the present and future, you really need a good understanding of the past.
- I think that this semiotic theory would be a semantic unit because the picture is representing the expression of excitement for the Miss America pageant.

- The Freedom Trashcan was a very iconic part of this protest. This goes after the protest because it is a part of the protest and it just makes sense to go in this order.
- intertextual background
- Many people have hard about the Freedom Trashcan and since it all has to do with the Miss America feminism protest, I figured it needed to be discussed.
- I believe that this semiotic theory is stereotype. This idea was created in feminists minds and how they view pageants. They are expressing their opinion on them and causing a scene, while other's can view the complete opposite of the feminists.

- Bert Parks is very iconic and important when it comes to Miss America. He wrote the song, There She Is, Miss America, that is played after every new crowning. For this portion, I will be using either a video clip of him singing this song or the audio in the background with a slideshow of still images of all the Miss America's 1921 to today.
- The crown is the repetend.
- I believe that this semiotic theory is a semantic unit of the pageant. The song is very well known.
- I chose to end my mash up with this song because the patent concludes with this song.
